RACEWAY VENUE MANAGER
(Pub based Entertainment)
PERMANENT- FULL TIME (EVENING WORK)
LOCATION: BRIGHTON - THE WORLD'S END Pub
Applicants must have a permanent residence within easy commutable distance to this location.
The Raceway manager will be paid a staffing budget based on the operational hours plus a revenue share from the venue.
The venue has huge potential to grow but at present the role would be expected to yield circa £25K pa (based on 40 Hr Working week)
The Racing Bug are currently seeking a Raceway Venue Manager to take on fully operational management of our unique Raceway arcade based at the famous Worlds End Pub in Brighton.
This is an opportunity to run your own small business, recruiting, training and supporting staff, and taking full managerial control of budgets and rotas. The role will include responsibility for promotion & marketing and working alongside venue management to achieve the huge potential for growth of the business. All this, under the full support of a highly successful and rapidly growing parent company.
For this role we are seeking practical, driven individuals with proven management skills. They will be well-spoken, outgoing, professional, and highly customer service oriented. The foundation of the role will be hands-on hosting and management. This includes delivering live commentary, hosting and operation of our scale motor racing attraction. You will have an ability to make every individual participant feel special by providing a fun and entertaining environment.

A good understanding of Social Media and Marketing
In addition, successful applicants will be required to work with mechanical parts, AV and computer systems to assist with our on-site equipment maintenance. Although full training will be provided in these aspects, any practical experience or understanding in these areas would be an advantage. Similarly an understanding of Social Media and Marketing would be an advantage but is not essential. Experience in any of these areas should be highlighted in any application.
The venues operational Hours are:
17:45-23:00 (Evening - 5.25 Hrs) Monday - Thurs
17:45-01:00 (Evening - 7.25 Hrs) Friday
13:00-01:00 (Afternoon & Evening - 12 Hrs) Saturday
13:00-21:00 (Afternoon & Evening - 8 Hrs) Sunday
The Manager would be expected to work selected hours from within this schedule and manage a small team of staff covering the remaining and double staffed hours. The Manager should expect to be required to work (with the exception of scheduled holidays) all ‘peak’ Friday and Saturday evenings.
Hence, if you have to be in bed before midnight on weekends - this is not a role for you!
