After watching the DMT Championship on the Grand Prix track, I needed in on the driving action too. As they say “when in Rome..” or in this case, when at Nurburgring the Nordschleife circuit is a must. It’s known to be one of the most dangerous and demanding circuits in the world, with over 12 miles of constant driving challenges. It was an opportunity not to be missed.
I took on the challenge in a partially race prepared Suzuki Swift and aimed to beat the well-known 10 minute challenge set by Jeremy Clarkson. Clarkson’s challenge was to get round the track in a diesel Jaguar S-Type in under 10 minutes, set during his Top Gear days. I’m please to say I smashed it, in 9min 52 secs, which beats Jeremy’s time of 9min 59!
A decent weekend of racing both as a spectator and on the track. Now it’s time to get back to work and build racing experiences for other motorsport fans! See you at the next event!
