Our latest hatch of Large Silver Appleyards are still getting used to the water!
We've been gradually introducing them to the water so that they can have a bath, and also to get used to swimming in it. The ducklings naturally love the water so are very happy splashing around.
We can't put them in the actual pond just yet as their feathers are still developing, and at the moment aren't waterproof. Once they have waterproof feathers they can go in the main as they aren't at risk of drowning then.
