Trainee Workshop Engineer / Craftsperson

Permanent - Full Time Positions

Salary:

Trainee Roles at £18,200 pa + Overtime

Through to more advanced roles up to £25400 pa + Overtime

Location:

Thornborough, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire MK18

The business operates throughout the UK and Overseas.

Driving Licence Required:

Full driving licence & own transport required.

(Additional licence categories particularly C1 and /or experience of driving larger vehicles would be a distinct advantage)

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Design, build, maintain and operate world leading “cool stuff” as part of a great team developing new skills every day. 

 

We are expanding our multi-skilled team with HANDS-ON roles in the design, manufacture and delivery of our world leading range of event and amusement equipment.  We require individuals who prefer being hands-on, have flexibility and a 'can do' attitude.

 

We work with a vast range of materials and techniques including metals, timber, plastics and composites. Innovation runs through everything we do ensuring that our equipment performs to the highest possible standards.

  • Professionally presented

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Practical and HANDS-ON in nature

  • Experience of commonly used hand and power-tools.

  • Flexibility and Enthusiastic to constantly innovate and adopt new skills, techniques and materials.

  • Ability to assist in the loading and assembly of large event equipment, and able to work in various environments including working outdoors.

Skills:

Practical Skills that would be desirable but not essential as full training can be given, include but are not limited to:

 

Mechanics (vehicle / machinery / agricultural), Carpentry, Metalwork, Welding, Design Engineering, CNC Machining, HGV Bodybuilding, Vehicle Bodywork, Sign-making & Wrapping, Wiring Installation, Set building, Painting and decorating, Model Making, Plastic Moulding, Electrical Assembly, Intricate Soldering, Electrical Diagnostics (with multimeter), Basic GRP (Fibreglass) Laminating, Creating Engineering Drawings, CAD and 3D Printing, IT & Coding skills, CCTV Installation, Audio design etc.

 

Skills or experience in any of these areas should be highlighted in any application.

Hours/Days:
The foundation of the role is a 40 hour, 5 day week with regular opportunities for extended working hours including weekends, and extended work at venues & overseas.
