FAQ

We would be delighted to hear from you but please check our FAQ'S first.

What time do you open?

How does it work?

It's a Pub with an awesome Racing System and a full Arcade of great stuff to do.  Put some clothes on and get yourself down here!

Can I just turn up and drive?

Absolutely, we’d love to see you, but it is dependant on availability.

Do we need to book?

Yes. The arcade & raceway will only be definitely staffed when there is a booking.

What am I booking?

Book Race Licences for your arrival time.  Licences are valid for racing via a queue until closing time on that day.

Bookings are not exclusive (unless booked as such) and your arrival time does not guarantee immediate access to the raceway.  You may be required to take time for vital hydration before and in between races.    Refunds are not offered if your schedule does allow you to complete your races before you need to leave in advance of closing.

Can we race back to back if we have a large group booked?

The raceway seats 10 people at a time. Therefore there will be times when not everyone in the arcade will be racing. It will be done on a queue system if everyone wants to race, so you may be required to enjoy refuelling breaks between a series of races in order to take on vital fluids and allow other drivers to enjoy the raceway.

Can we book the whole raceway for ourselves?

Worlds Raceway is best enjoyed in the company of other racers.  Its a shared experience, which brings people together. The World's End does offer exclusive venue hire, generally for times outside of our normal opening hours, please contact The World's End for this type of booking. If you want to book the arcade and raceway exclusively, please contact us.

What’s the cost?

Free entry! We only charge for racing which we do awesome deals on (book here) and the arcade games are Pay to Play.
We endeavour to do our best to keep the website up to date with the most recent prices.

How long is a typical race?

A typical race is competed over 15-20 Laps of our challenging Grand Prix circuit. Race time varies depending on the standard of completion but expect the experience to last between 7 and 10 mins.

Will we be able to drink and drive?

Hey - Don't Drink & Drive! (unless you're on the World's Raceway!)  We have a well-stocked bar downstairs provided by Laines Brew Co - we've got you covered.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Licences must be used on the date of the booking.

Any changes to bookings may be re-scheduled or vouchered subject to an admin charge with a minimum of 48 hours notice - via the change my booking portal. Inside of 48 hours notice, your booking is Non-Changeable, Non-Refundable and Non-Negotiable

What if I am late for my booking?

If you're running late, there is no need to let us know, we'll do our very best to accommodate you for as much time remains of your booking but we are unable to offer refunds for missed bookings.

Can my group book and pay individually?
Yes, Individuals can make separate bookings for the same slot up until the slot fills up. It is however best to book the group as one, to confirm that we have the appropriate capacity for your numbers. This is ensures no one gets left out

Is it a bit like Go Karting?

The Racing Bug raceway experience is much more vibrant and interactive than go-karting. The action is as engaging to watch as it is to participate in and with drivers seated shoulder-to-shoulder the emotion of the experience is evident at every turn. Our race vehicles are all precision performance matched and The Racing Bug is a shared experience that you’ll never forget. Wouldn’t it be great if all motorsport took place in the Pub!

Is it a bit like Scalextrix?

Imagine Scalextrix but where you’re not stuck in a groove! Then add real steering and pedal controls, precision race timing, live race commentary and no need to keep retrieving your car from under the sofa. The Racing Bug is real motorsport, just miniaturised.

Can I book a table?

The Worlds End accept table bookings.  For Table bookings please contact The Worlds End.

Are there any age restrictions?

The Worlds End welcomes children but is designed as an adult environment; under 18's must be supervised by an adult and are asked to leave the venue at 7pm daily.

The Worlds End operates an over 18's policy on Thursday to Saturday evenings.

I didn't receive a confirmation email when I booked?

Check your spam/junk folder, you'll receive a confirmation email from our booking form: appointments@wixbookings.com, Terms & Conditions from info@theracingbug.co.uk in addition to a Paypal payment confirmation too.

Can we book the raceway for Christmas parties?

The festive season can be super busy so the World's End has special seasonal packages (some of which will include the racing of course!). Christmas bookings are the only way to book between12th November - 2nd January and will be valid for 2 hours on your chosen day. Any "normal" bookings will be for dates after the 2nd January, so make sure you select a Christmas booking! Any bookings made for these dates by mistake can be cancelled and reimbursed subject to an admin charge - via the change my booking portal.
