The original ‘The Racing Bug’ – The car that spawned a world leading Manufacturing and Events Business was back in action at Snetterton last week having been in hibernation for over a decade!
This brutally fast machine seemingly still has what it takes to embarrass some of the fastest GT and Supercar Racers. It appears that the years have been kind. What a fantastic day out – and potentially the dawn of a competitive rebirth.
The shakedown revealed several age related issues, some more surprising than others. The brake pads were the worst victim of the ageing process – visually like new but proved utterly ineffective, once changed we were back knocking on the door of 3G of braking performance!
